ADI AMD | Open Studio- Sculptor Vyom

ADI AMD presents Open Studio where Sculptor Vyom, has opened his studio doors for us at ADI community, Ahmedabad, for an intimate viewing of his current works. Vyom will be present there for a chat!25.09.2021(this saturday) - 6pm-9pm (with two tours by Vyom - 6:30 pm & 7:45 pm)Come visit, learn about his experiments with materials and his process as an artist & sculptor.About Vyom - Vyom studied sculpture at Baroda and has had a studio practice in Ahmedabad for 10 years. His work over the years has moved from creating experiential installations, monumental sculptures whilst having a practice based in material exploration and play. While retaining the concern of the human presence and how it manifests itself in expanding cities to changing aesthetics, from positions on love and development to examining the human condition; positions on humanism itself. For his last solo exhibition, using metal, terracotta, cement, lime, papier-mâché and in countless drawings Vyom evoked a diverse world of non-human presences. This othering has led to further abstraction in his work, wherein there is a greater attempt at moving away from a formal association with the other, the non-human, the creature. While deepening the exploration of post-human possibilities.~The viewing will be followed by light snacks and a saxophone performance by artist & designer - Nitin Patel~About Nitin Patel Nitin Patel, graduated as an Exhibition Designer from NID in 2002. He is an artist & and an academic. Nitin picked up the saxophone as his instrument of passion, he is self-taught. A few friends catch his tunes while he is jamming.
